Ontology of Light and the Death of Superposition
For some reason modern physics and science doesn’t consider Light to be matter. I mean what is wrong with people, how could it not be?
Matter is generally defined as anything that has mass and occupies space. Atoms, molecules, stars, rocks, and people all fit that standard. Light is defined as a electromagnetic wave made of photons which has no resting mass but does have energy, momentum, and exerts pressure.
I go beyond this misunderstanding and put light in its rightful place as a material substance. My reasoning is this, all matter including light cannot occupy the same space as something else. If light travels then there must be something for it to travel through or on; the medium, Aether.
Now, understanding the Aether as I’ve stated in previous blog posts is as simple as understanding the relationship between hot lava or magma and cooled rock encasing it; which is the same lava/magma cooled around it. The Aether could then easily be understood as a Stratified Matter Body. Throughout the universe this is the underlying energy dynamic. Energy underneath and matter its cooled crusty exterior that doubles as the interior we exist in we call the universe. Anything observable is the cooled top layer.Light is not a separate force or effect, it is of the same substance as everything else merely in a different state. This leads me to further posit that even the medium itself, the Aether, would have to give way to light as it passes through. Light is simple another state of the medium in which the cosmos is and of. This is why there are things such as solar winds which is the result of the medium itself being acted upon. I also have to point out once again that according to Einstein both matter and energy are one and the same substance, not separate entities but one singular unit.
Light is another material state of the universe, not just a wave or a massless particle, but something that must physically displace other matter in order to travel. Light is a compacted or excited state of the Aether itself. When in motion as it always is, it is not massless energy moving in a void, which space isn’t, but material pushing through other material, forcing rearrangements like solar winds being the displaced medium. In this sense, light is matter the same way crystals, particles, and waves are; different manifestations of the same base substance.
Modern science says photons even multiple can occupy the same space, even overlap and pass through each other without collision just as how lasers work. Only interacting at extreme conditions such as high energy. But even an overlap is still a material disturbance which implies some kind of compression or layering of the medium rather than true non-interaction. Light in this sense is a phase of matter not unlike plasma, liquid, gas, or solids but a more fundamental phase. The Aether, which science does not recognize, is the hidden foundation of all forces and matter. While physics understands light as merely energy, it is a material state, a pressure or density wave of the medium which displaces the medium. This explains radiation pressure and solar winds more directly.
In a cosmos of interactions and reactions, there cannot be non-interactions it’s impossible. Lasers and light may overlap but as we know if we shine red, green, and blue light at an area, what we will see at that spot is a white light. So the seemingly non-interactive overlap is anything but. This is a sticking point that the mainstream conveniently glosses over. What physics calls non-interaction is an interaction but not in a destructive or scattering way. When beams interact they change the outcome. That is interaction. Photons may not collide as we traditionally observe but the fact that their overlap produces a new emergent state is proof of interaction. What science calls Superposition is a subtler form of interaction. The universe has no gaps or exceptions, interaction is universal; dynamism is how existence happens. We can shine to beams of the same color and intensity at the same area and what will change is their collective intensity. If there were no interaction, the intensity would remain the same unchanged, however it does change. Any change, even a change in intensity is proof that the medium, the Aether, was acted upon. So even at light’s level, the cosmos interacts materially. I have to say then flat out, there is no such thing as Superposition.
Superposition is the principle that waves or quantum states cab “add up” without destroying one another. For overlapping beams this means they don’t cancel each other out but form an interference pattern or a combined color. Superposition is a convenient way for science to cleanly explain both entanglement and interference in a mathematical way. What looks like coexisting states is really just interaction and transformation in real time. When lights overlap they don’t stay separate but added, they produce a new state of the medium locally. RBG lights overlapping is not superposition, it’s causal blending; the medium has physically changed resulting in a new emergent effect.
This turns all of physics into a vast story of endless continuous interaction, reaction, and material transformation. There is no “both and” states, no superpositions waiting to collapse, just the Aether being reshaped by all inputs at once. This means that experiments like the Double Slit Experiment are not superposition but particles/light interacting with the slits and the medium in a way that produces a structures outcome. Entanglement is not superposition but the shared material resonance established at the Aether level. Wave function collapse is not needed because there never a superposed state, only a dynamic interaction being revealed. Reality does not hold back possibilities, it is always actualizing. Superposition is a mathematical convenience, not a fact or feature of nature itself. Once again there is no such thing as superposition, only Aether expressing the combined influence of multiple forces in real time.
When light interacts or overlaps we don’t see a change in behavior, but we do observe a change in outcome. Beams themselves keep traveling forward, apparently unaffected in their path, speed, or frequency. But in the region where they overlap, the outcome changes; new colors, intensities, or patterns emerge. Physics would call this superposition; the electric and magnetic components don’t deflect, destroy or cancel out, they just add. However this addition is not some ghostly overlap but a real time interaction of material states. The fact that beams continue on unperturbed doesn’t mean nothing happened, it means their individual integrity was preserved and the medium they co-occupied was itself altered as seen in the visible change in outcome. Interference patterns, intensity shifts, emergent colors are all proof that the overlap is causal not illusory. Light beams don’t blend into a single new beam, they instead maintain their individual trajectories and produce a third emergent effect in the overlap zone. Not unlike how SCALAR Fields are produced by interacting resonant frequencies.
Think of two or more people talking over each other. Each voice travels independently but to an observer the outcome is a mixture of sound, a new emergent effect of the overlap. The sound waves didn’t superpose in an abstract way, they’ve co-acted on the same medium. In this way light coexist, and co-act leaving their own trajectories intact while producing a new emergent state of the medium.
Superposition is not unlike the concept of Dark Matter or Dark Energy for modern physics and science, it is a placeholder for the unknown. An explanation that does not explain anything. Concepts for observations that current theories and models cannot fully explain. Dark matter, energy, and superposition are all observational necessities to make equations match reality. They are explanatory gaps that describe outcomes but not mechanics. They are placeholders for “something happening” that can’t yet be described. By treating light, interactions, and the medium as real, causal, and materially active, I’ve eliminated the need for such placeholders. Superposition is replaced by continuous interaction. Dark Matter could be accounted for by subtle effects of the medium. Dark Energy could also emerge from dynamics of the same underlying medium.
Because the mainstream does not recognize nor understand the medium, they’re looking for a change in light and not the medium the light is acting upon where the change occurs. Light may not have a rest state but it does have a point of termination in matter it cannot pass through or move. It is at this point where change occurs. With light the focus is not the light itself but the medium it interacts with. If photons are a carrier of energy, then it is what that energy acts upon where the magic happens. Mainstream physics looks at photons, fields, and energy as if the actions is all in the light; superposition, interference, and scattering; but light or photons are a driver, not the site of change. The real transformation happens in the medium it traverses.
Even if light has no rest mass, it stops or terminates when it encounters matter it cannot penetrate such as a wall, planet, or opaque material. At these termination points energy gets transferred to the medium; heating, chemical reactions, or mechanical effects. At this site material rearrangement occurs, not photons themselves, but in the medium they’ve collided with. What is observed is the medium reacting locally in changes in color, temperature, radiation pressure, or emission; these are all consequences of the medium’s response; and before we forget, both matter and energy are themselves one and the same substance as well, existing in different states.
Light is never the sole actor, it is the interaction agent. Change occurs in the medium, not in the traveling light. This explains solar winds, the medium being pushed or energized. Interference patterns, the medium responding to multiple overlapping influences. Radiation pressure, the momentum of transferred material. Philosophically, light is like a signal or messenger, not the substance of reality. For Reality, that is the medium interacting. This is supported by the fact that the universe is a network of interactions rather than a mixed bag of isolated forces.
To further illustrate, Light overlapping is not unlike interweaving currents one observes while looking at the surface of the ocean. Regardless of wavelength, frequency, or intensity all light is light; one and the same substance. It’s not two or more distinct and independent forces or properties coming together but one unified state separated and recombined into its singular form or state. When white sunlight passes through a prism we see it’s made up several different wavelengths of light. Their interaction is in what they ultimately produced. Light is a substance that can be partitioned, separated, and recombined rather than indecent coexistent forces. Different colors or wavelengths are just manifestations or “modes” of the same underlying medium. The prism example shows this clearly. Sunlight isn’t composed of multiple independent entities colliding, it’s a unified substance being spatially separated by the prism.
Just was the water weaving doesn’t multiply, the combined flow produces new emergent patterns while the substance, water, remains singular. Similarly, overlapping light interacts through the medium producing effects we can observe without implying that light itself is fragmenting into multiple independent entities. Light is always recombine into its singular form or state, even after separation by a prism, reflection, or interference. This perspective removes the need for “superposition” as a fundamental property. It frames light as a dynamic continuous substance whose effects are mediated by the medium it interacts with, rather than a collection of separate photons or waves colliding. Light then isn’t multiple forces interacting, it’s one unified state expressing itself differently depending on context and medium.
The environment or medium is where transformation actually happens. Light, no matter its wavelength or intensity, acts on the medium, but the effects manifests there, not in the light itself. All observed phenomena, interference, diffraction, color separation are emergent properties of the environment. Light is the driver but the environment is the locus of change.
